Q3 in Review

From expanding into new markets to nearly doubling our headcount, it's no secret that 2021 has been a big year for us.

The best part is that the year isn’t over yet and we are continuing to challenge the recruitment industry and build a diverse, innovative, and collaborative team at a global scale. Before the year comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to look back on all that has happened and get ready for all that is still to come.

Opened Offices in Sweden

One of the most exciting things of this year launched in Q3 - the official launch of our Swedish office! In August, Rebecca Johansson together with Duyen Jin Nguyen launched our operations in Stockholm. So far, they have already landed an office space, brought clients onboard, and filled positions. Not to mention they found time to squeeze in a trip to Oslo to meet our team, film some interviews, and have a photoshoot, among other things. Now, they are back in Stockholm ramping up internal hiring and delivering data-driven recruitment to clients.

A Growing Headcount

With international expansion comes a wave of new hires. This quarter we welcomed nine new team members to the FE family. From the UK to Oslo, our newest team members bring a unique and diversified skill set to our team. They are also filling positions of all seniorities, with new managers building out teams of their own and interns coming in and starting their career in recruitment alongside their studies. One of our fastest growing units at the moment is our fully-remote team!

Internal Promotions

New hires aren’t the only ones stepping into new roles this year. This year, we have had several internal promotions, resulting in new managers, recruitment consultants, operational leads, and interns-turned-full-time. While some of these promotions follow a traditional consultant path, some of the internal promotions have resulted in new positions altogether. We are excited to see our existing team members take on new and exciting challenges as they continue to positively shape our own organization and those of our clients.

Partners Old and New

In addition to scaling long-standing partners such as Superside, reMarkable, Whereby, and more, we have also built several new partnerships with some of the most ambitious and innovative tech companies around the world. From educational assessment leader Inspera to hydroponics startup Auk, our new partners have broadened the industries in which we operate and challenged us to recruit for a diverse set of roles while establishing HR infrastructure.

The Candidate Community

We have nearly 23.000 highly-qualified tech candidates in our talent pool and we want all of them to reach their full potential and the best candidate experience possible. To help make this a reality, we are currently building out a talent community. By establishing this community, we are able to provide our candidate pool with a platform built for candidates first. What does this mean? Essentially, the platform will provide a space for candidates to foster relationships, share knowledge, and network with like-minded talent around the world

New Office Space

We have been at our current location for several years now, and with a growing headcount comes the need for a larger office space. Even though we are a remote-first company, we still want to make sure that our employees have a safe, comfortable, and effective working environment to come to if they choose to work from the office. This is exactly why our Oslo team is working on revamping and expanding our HQ office space.

Although there is a lot of change happening within our organization, the one thing that hasn’t changed is our commitment to scaling organizations through talent. As we carry this mission with us for the years to come, we will continue to embrace growth and all of the challenges and celebrations that come with it.
